We have here a sophisticated music by a quartet made of some of the finest improvisors of the french scene and built around the inviation of Rodolphe Loubatière. A rich variety of acoustic and electronic frictions and textures find their ways inside the space-opening resonnance of the manipulated piano while the double bass goes back-and-forth between these two worlds with subtlety and powerfulness.
Rodolphe Loubatière is a very active member of the, Pierce Warneck is both sound and visual artist, and the two have an ongoing duo project since years, Frédéric Blondy is part of many groups (as Hubbub to name just one) and is directing the ONCEIM orchestra, David Chiesa is another leading and unstoppable figure of the scene and is also the initiator of a large ensemble, le UN.
